Three Recipes For Salty Fritters

The salty fritters are a unique starter or side that does not have greater complexity in its preparation. This dish was born in Mesoamerican cultures and is consumed in much of the Hispanic world, in countless variations ranging from extreme sweet to salty.

The donuts are a versatile and quick to make food. They contain significant levels of fat and carbohydrates, since they are mostly made with flour or any tuber such as potato, sweet potato, cassava or pumpkin.

However, there are other, healthier ways to make fritters, adding animal protein or making them with zucchini or aubergine as a base.
