Remedies to Relieve Low Back Pain

Topical uses of arnica.

1. Arnica

Arnica is the plant that has anti-inflammatory, analgesic properties. For this reason, it is used for the relief of blows and injuries in the form of extract, cream, gel, homeopathic globules, among others. In fact, in pharmacies and parapharmacies it is possible to find various topical products that contain arnica.

According to a study published in 2009 by researchers in Italy, this remedy may work as a treatment for those with lower back pain.

2. Local heat

It is recommended to warm the lumbar area with an electric mat or blanket, with a hot water bottle or covering it with woolen cloth.

Alternatively, it is advisable to apply the shower jet directly on the lumbar region, gradually increasing the temperature and moving the jet from one side to the other for 2 to 4 minutes.

3. Infusions

4. Clay plasters

  1. First mix warm water with green or red clay.
  2. Stir until you get a paste that can be applied without running off.

  4. Then it is covered with a gauze or cloth and also with a thick woolen cloth to give warmth.
  5. Leave it on for at least half an hour or you can also leave it overnight.
